Statics and dynamics of a harmonic oscillator coupled to a one-dimensional Ising system
We investigate an oscillator linearly coupled with a one-dimensional Ising system. The coupling gives rise to drastic changes both in the oscillator statics and dynamics.

Photothermocapillary Oscillators
We present a new class of tunable light-driven oscillators based on mm-scale objects adsorbed at fluid interfaces. A fixed light source induces photothermal surface tension gradients (Marangoni stresses) that drive nanocomposite hydrogel discs away from a stable apex position atop a drop of water.

Three-Dimensional, Time-Dependent Analysis of High- and Low-Q Free-Electron Laser Oscillators
Free-electron lasers (FELs) have been designed to operate over virtually the entire electromagnetic spectrum, from microwaves through to X-rays, and in a variety of configurations, including amplifiers and oscillators. Oscillators can operate in both the

Noise spectrum of a tunnel junction coupled to a nanomechanical oscillator
A nanomechanical resonator coupled to a tunnel junction is studied. The oscillator modulates the transmission of the junction, changing the current and the noise spectrum.

SYNCHRONOUS OSCILLATIONS IN VAN DER POL GENERATOR WITH MODULATED NATURAL FREQUENCY
The synchronous operation of Van Der Pole generator with the low-frequency modulated natural frequency has been investigated. The presence of low-frequency modulation is shown to lead to formation of additional synchronization regions.

In this work, we build and test three memristor-based true random number generator (TRNG) circuits: two previously presented in the literature and one which is our own design.

Full counting statistics and conditional evolution in a nanoelectromechanical system
We study theoretically the full distribution of transferred charge in a tunnel junction (or quantum point contact) coupled to a nanomechanical oscillator, as well as the conditional evolution of the oscillator.

Gravity-Compensation Design Approaches for Flexure-Pivot Time Bases
While flexure time bases have gained significant traction in the watchmaking industry thanks to their high quality factor and monolithic design, maintaining a stable frequency in varying orientations of wrist watches with respect to gravity remains a ...
