Cyclotron resonance of a magnetic quantum dot

open access: yes, 2008
The energy spectrum of a one-electron quantum dot doped with a single magnetic ion is studied in the presence of an external magnetic field. The allowed cyclotron resonance (CR) transitions are obtained together with their oscillator strength (OS) as ...

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Electron energy spectrum and oscillator strengths of quantum transitions in double quantum ring nanostructure driven by electric field

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2018
The effect of homogeneous electric field on the energy spectrum, wave functions of electron and oscillator strengths of intra-band quantum transitions in a double cylindrical quantum ring (GaAs/Al_{x}Ga_{1-x}As) is studied within the approximations of ...

Cooper pairing and single particle properties of trapped Fermi gases

open access: yes, 2002
We calculate the elementary excitations and pairing of a trapped atomic Fermi gas in the superfluid phase. The level spectra and pairing gaps undergo several transitions as the strength of the interactions between and the number of atoms are varied.

Clean‐Limit 2D Superconductivity in a Thick Exfoliated Kagome Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports clean‐limit 2D superconductivity in a thick kagome system, analogous to the 3D case. It observes a drop in superfluid stiffness near the superconducting transition and a cusp‐like feature in the angular dependence of the upper critical field.

Robust squeezed light against mode mismatch using a self imaging optical parametric oscillator

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
We present squeezed light that is robust against spatial mode mismatch (beam displacement, tilt, and beam-size difference), which is generated from a self-imaging optical parametric oscillator below the threshold. We investigate the quantum properties of

Photophysics and Inverted Solvatochromism of 7,7,8,8-Tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We report the absorption, fluorescence, and Raman spectroscopy of 7,7,8,8- tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) in a variety of solvents. The fluorescence quantum yields (QYs) of linear alkane solutions are similar to one another, but QY is shown to acutely ...

Band Alignment in In‐Oxo Metal Porphyrin SURMOF Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Porphyrin core metalation in indium‑oxo SURMOFs enables systematic tuning of band edge positions without altering the crystal structure. First‑principles calculations reveal type‑I and type‑II heterostructures as well as multi‑junction energy cascades, establishing a modular strategy for exciton funneling and charge separation in optoelectronic ...

A quadratic time-dependent quantum harmonic oscillator

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
We present a Lie algebraic approach to a Hamiltonian class covering driven, parametric quantum harmonic oscillators where the parameter set—mass, frequency, driving strength, and parametric pumping—is time-dependent.

Empirically constructed dynamic electric dipole polarizability function of magnesium and its applications

open access: yes, 2015
The dynamic electric dipole polarizability function for the magnesium atom is formed by assembling the atomic electric dipole oscillator strength distribution from combinations of theoretical and experimental data for resonance oscillator strengths and ...
