Far‐Infrared Hyperbolic Phonon–Polaritons in Zirconium Disulfide

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An unpatterned ZrS2${\rm ZrS}_2$ flake, coupled to far‐field infrared light by metal nanoribbons, reveals hyperbolic phonon polaritons with multiple higher‐order branches and effective refractive indices up to 223. This resonator‐assisted approach establishes ZrS2${\rm ZrS}_2$ as a compact van der Waals platform for deeply subwavelength far‐infrared ...

CALCULATIONS OF OSCILLATOR STRENGTHS AND LIFETIMES OF CuI, AgI AND AuI USING COULOMB APPROXIMATION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 1989
Oscillator strengths and lifetimes of all energy levels of CuI, Agl and AuI were calculated using the Coulomb approximation (for The first time), and then compared with available ...

Reversible Hydration Tuning of Polar Order and Large Nonlinear Optical Response in a 2D van der Waals Crystal, LiInP2S6

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hydration‐induced symmetry breaking transforms layered LiInP2S6${\rm LiInP}_2{\rm S}_6$ from a nonpolar to a chiral‐polar phase, producing a giant enhancement of non‐resonant second‐harmonic generation. The reversible tuning of polar order through molecular intercalation establishes a strategy for dynamically controlling nonlinear optical ...

Controlling Radiative Phonons in the van der Waals Ferroelectric NbOI2

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Using a simple mirror geometry, this work demonstrates local‐density‐of‐optical‐states control of THz phonon emission in van der Waals ferroelectric NbOI2. By engineering the photonic environment, the phonon Q‐factor, linewidth, peak frequency, and emission intensity are reversibly tuned by over an order of magnitude, revealing radiative phonons as ...

Improved Astrophysical and Computational Oscillator Strengths for Ultraviolet P ii Lines

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Abundance measurements for the volatile element phosphorus are important for measuring the metallicity in interstellar and circumgalactic gas, where their accuracies are limited by uncertainties in the oscillator strengths.

Vibrational and electronic oscillator strengths of LiO

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards Section A: Physics and Chemistry, 1972
Electronic energies and wave functions of ground and excited states of LiO are calculated in the Hartree-Fock approximation. The vibrational oscillator strengths of the X 2Π and A 2Σ+ valence states are calculated for v = 0 to 1 and 1 to 2 transitions.

Aggregation‐Controlled Vat Dyeing of Meta‐Aramid Fibers: Mechanistic Insights and Suppression of Surface Dye Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Supramolecular aggregation governs the interfacial adsorption, diffusion, and fixation of anthraquinone‐based vat dyes in meta‐aramid fibers. By correlating reduction chemistry, aggregate formation, and fiber microstructure, a multiscale mechanism for aggregation‐controlled dyeing is established, providing an effective strategy to suppress surface dye ...
