Oscillation of solutions to non-linear difference equations with several advanced arguments [PDF]
This work concerns the oscillation and asymptotic properties of solutions to the non-linear difference equation with advanced arguments \[x_{n+1}- x_n =\sum_{i=1}^m f_{i,n}( x_{n+h_{i,n}}).\] We establish sufficient conditions for the existence of ...

Oscillatory Solutions for Certain Delay-Differential Equations [PDF]
The existence of oscillatory solutions for a certain class of scalar first order delay-differential equations is proved. An application to a delay logistic equation arising in certain models for population variation of a single specie in a constant environment with limited resources for growth is considered.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Comparison of properties of solutions of differential equations and recurrence equations with the same characteristic equation (on example of third order linear equations with constant coefficients) [PDF]
Third order linear homogeneous differential and recurrence equations with constant coefficients are considered. We take the both equations with the same characteristic equation.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Oscillation criteria for nonlinear differential equations with $p(t)$-Laplacian [PDF]
Recently there has been an increasing interest in studying $p(t)$-Laplacian equations, an example of which is given in the following form (|u'(t)|^{p(t)-2}u'(t))'+c(t)|u(t)|^{q(t)-2}u(t)= 0, \quad t>0.

On oscillatory solutions to the complete Euler system [PDF]
The Euler system in fluid dynamics is a model of a compressible inviscid fluid incorporating the three basic physical principles: Conservation of mass, momentum, and energy. We show that the Cauchy problem is basically ill-posed for the $L^\infty$-initial data in the class of weak entropy solutions.
