Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Oscillatory behavior for nonlinear homogeneous neutral difference equations of second order with coefficient changing sign

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
In this article, we obtain sufficient conditions so that all solutions of the neutral difference equation $$ \Delta^{2}\big(y_n-p_n L(y_{n-s})\big) + q_nG(y_{n-k})=0, $$ and all unbounded solutions of the neutral difference equation $$ \Delta^{2}

Global Behavior of an Arbitrary-Order Nonlinear Difference Equation with a Nonnegative Function

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Let k , l be two integers with k ≥ 0 and l ≥ 2 , c a real number greater than or equal to 1, and f a multivariable function satisfying f ( w 1 , w 2 , w 3 , ⋯ , w l ) ≥ 0 when w 1 , w 2 ≥ 0 .

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Non-oscillatory behaviour of higher order functional differential equations of neutral type

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2007
In this paper, we obtain sufficient conditions so that the neutral functional differential equation $$displaylines{ ig[r(t) [y(t)-p(t)y(au (t))]'ig]^{(n-1)} + q(t) G(y(h(t))) = f(t) }$$ has a bounded and positive solution.

Monotonicity conditions in oscillation to superlinear differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
We consider the second order differential equation \[ \bigl(a(t)|x^{\prime}|^{\alpha}\operatorname{sgn\,}x^{\prime}\bigr)^{\prime }+b(t)|x|^{\beta}\operatorname{sgn\,}x=0 \] in the super-linear case ...

Efficacy of Intermittent Theta‐Burst Stimulation for Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging evidence suggests that low‐frequency neural oscillations are dynamically regulated by consciousness levels, with the recovery of low cortical activity potentially serving as a neurophysiological substrate for conscious emergence. Targeted enhancement of these low‐frequency rhythms in patients with disorders of consciousness

On oscillation and asymptotic behaviour of a neutral differential equation of first order with positive and negative coefficients

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2007
In this paper sufficient conditions are obtained so that every solution of $$ (y(t)- p(t)y(t-au))'+ Q(t)G(y(t-sigma))-U(t)G(y(t-alpha)) = f(t) $$ tends to zero or to $pm infty$ as $t$ tends to $infty$, where $au ,sigma ,alpha$ are positive real numbers, $
