Increased circulating adiponectin in response to thiazolidinediones: investigating the role of bone marrow adipose tissue

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2016
BACKGROUND: Bone marrow adipose tissue (MAT) contributes to increased circulating adiponectin, an insulin-sensitising hormone, during caloric restriction, but whether this occurs in other contexts remains unknown.

Potential bile acid metabolites. 14. Hyocholic and muricholic acid stereoisomers.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1989
The complete set of the eight theoretically possible stereoisomeric 3,6,7-trihydroxy-5 beta-cholanic acids, four of which are new, related to hyocholic and muricholic acids were prepared from chenodeoxycholic acid.

Aliphatic medium chain tricarboxylic acids in rat urine

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1976
Three aliphatic tricarboxylic acids have been found in rat urine. They have been identified as 6-carboxy-5-undecenedioic acid, 6-carboxy-5-dodecenedoic acid, and 6-carboxy-5-tridecenedioic acid.

A rapid method for staining large chylomicrons.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1989
In this report, we present a rapid method for producing high-quality micrographs suitable for determining the size distributions of particles in concentrated samples of postprandial chylomicrons and chylomicron remnants.
