Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...

Estimation of energy efficiency of the process of osmotic dehydration of pork meat [PDF]
Osmotic dehydration is a low-energy process since water removal from the raw material is without phase change. The goal of this research is to estimate energy efficiency of the process of osmotic dehydration of pork meat at three different process ...

Forward Osmosis for Metal Processing Effluents under Similar Osmotic Pressure Gradients
Water recovery from aqueous effluents in the mining and metals processing industry poses a unique challenge due to the high concentration of dissolved salts typically requiring energy intensive methods of treatment. Forward osmosis (FO) is a lower energy

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.
