Heat Shock Proteins and the Cellular Response to Osmotic Stress [PDF]

open access: yesCellular Physiology and Biochemistry, 2000
In antidiuresis, the intrarenal distribution of HSP25/27, alphaB-crystallin, HSP72, OSP94 and HSP110 corresponds to the osmotic gradient between cortex and papilla: low amounts in the cortex and high values in the inner medulla and papilla. In addition, medullary HSP72 levels change appropriately with the diuretic state.

Comparison of different methods of osmotic shocks for extraction of Human Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor produced in periplasm [PDF]

open access: greenBiological Journal of Microorganism, 2018
Introduction:In the recent years, a growing interest for the production of secretary recombinant proteins is seen. This is due to the advantages of recombinant protein production in the periplasm compared to the cytoplasm. However, signal peptides have a

Comparison of Cell Disruption Methods for Improving Lipid Extraction from Thraustochytrid Strains

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2015
ipid extraction is an integral part of biodiesel production, as it facilitates the release of fatty acids from algal cells. To utilise thraustochytrids as a potential source for lipid production. We evaluated the extraction efficiency of various solvents

The Role of Superoxide Dismutase in Inducing of Wheat Seedlings Tolerance to Osmotic Shock [PDF]

open access: greenJournal of Stress Physiology & Biochemistry, 2013
Influence of short-term hardening osmotic exposure (immersion in 1 M sucrose solution with subsequent transferring to distilled water for 20 min) on the hydrogen peroxide generation and superoxide dismutase activity in wheat (Triticum aestivum L., cv ...

Plasma membrane protein OsMCA1 is involved in regulation of hypo-osmotic shock-induced Ca2+ influx and modulates generation of reactive oxygen species in cultured rice cells [PDF]

open access: goldBMC Plant Biology, 2012
Background Mechanosensing and its downstream responses are speculated to involve sensory complexes containing Ca2+-permeable mechanosensitive channels.
