Osseointegration of titanium implants
Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica, 1986Forty-eight screws, six double cylindrical implants and six T-plates were inserted into the tibia or femur of 6 dogs. Two titanium screws were inserted into the proximal tibia of 5 patients to anchor a titanium mould. The implants were removed en bloc with adjacent bone tissue after 3 to 14 months.
