Development of a Novel Nanotextured Titanium Implant. An Experimental Study in Rats. [PDF]
This animal study evaluated the osseointegration level of a new nanotextured titanium surface produced by anodization. Ti-cp micro-implants (1.5 mm diameter by 2.5 mm in length) divided into two groups: titanium nanotextured surface treatment (Test Group)

Osseointegration of miniscrews: a histomorphometric evaluation [PDF]
Mini-implants and miniscrews are commonly used in orthodontics to provide additional temporary intraoral anchorage. Partial osseointegration represents a distinct advantage in orthodontic applications, allowing effective anchorage to be combined with easy insertion and removal. This article reports the histomorphometric findings of the osseointegration

A synthetic 4‐arm maleimide‐terminated poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG‐4MAL) hydrogel system that combines hydrolytic ester‐linked macromer (PEG‐4eMAL) with nondegradable amide‐linked macromer (PEG‐4aMAL) in various stoichiometric ratios to tune the degradability rate. The macromers are crosslinked with dithiothreitol via thiol‐maleimide click reaction. The

Effect of Medications in Osseointegration
Implants have been a modern solution for treating edentulism nowadays. But the effect of certain diseases as well as medications marks a question among the dental practitioners about the survivability of implants. This article aims to discuss the effect of certain medications and its effect in osseointegration.

Induction of Osseointegration by Nacre in Pigs
Nacre is a biomaterial that has shown osteoinductive and osteoconductive properties in vitro and in vivo. These properties make nacre a material of interest for inducing bone regeneration. However, information is very limited regarding the introduction of nacre to dental implant surgery for promoting osteogenesis.
