This study develops a Mg‐H‐SPEEK implant with NIR‐switchable immunomodulatory properties. Under NIR, it promotes M1 macrophages for antibacterial action; without NIR, it induces M2 reprogramming to enhance tissue healing. This dual‐function material offers a smart strategy for reducing infection and improving integration in percutaneous implants ...

Mechanical Stress Triggers Premature Senescence in Cardiac Fibroblasts
Cellular senescence contributes to disease burden in cardiovascular disease (CVD) and aging, highlighting the need to understand its induction. In primary cardiac fibroblasts, reduced strain and increased frequency, mimicking CVD, elicit a distinct senescent phenotype compared to oxidative stress.

Osteocyte heterogeneity in bone remains poorly understood. This study identifies six distinct osteocyte subsets in mice, revealing a key subpopulation (BHR‐Ocys) that drives bone loss in osteoporosis. BHR‐Ocys promote osteoclast‐mediated resorption via a novel Sema5a‐Plxna1 signaling axis.
