Off‐label ciprofloxacin‐dexamethasone has been used for over two decades to improve outcomes following airway surgery. Therefore, this scoping review evaluates the current literature to understand the potential utility of ciprofloxacin‐dexamethasone after airway surgery. Ciprofloxacin‐dexamethasone was found to provide utility with minimal side effects

Risk Analysis Index Versus Modified Frailty Index: Outcomes After Otolaryngologic Surgery

RAI and MFI‐5 are two frailty scoring systems used for perioperative risk assessment in multiple surgical specialties. This study shows that RAI outperformed MFI‐5 in predicting postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing otolaryngologic surgeries.

Anxiety and Depression in Adults With Vestibular Disorders: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
This systematic review and meta‐analysis of 85 studies (n = 764,403) found that adults with vestibular disorders have markedly higher rates and risks of anxiety and depression than controls. Prevalence was greatest in episodic conditions such as vestibular migraine and Ménière's disease.
