Mesenchymal Differentiation and Organ Distribution of Established Human Stromal Cell Lines in NOD/SCID Mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Two human stromal cell lines were established previously from bone marrow-derived primary long-term cultures by immortalization using the SV40 large T antigen and cellular cloning. After irradiation, the fibroblast-like cell lines L87/4 and L88/5 support

Osteopontin at the Crossroads of Inflammation and Tumor Progression

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2017
Complex interactions between tumor and host cells regulate systemic tumor dissemination, a process that begins early at the primary tumor site and goes on until tumor cells detach themselves from the tumor mass and start migrating into the blood or ...

S3RL: Enhancing Spatial Single‐Cell Transcriptomics With Separable Representation Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Separable Spatial Representation Learning (S3RL) is introduced to enhance the reconstruction of spatial transcriptomic landscapes by disentangling spatial structure and gene expression semantics. By integrating multimodal inputs with graph‐based representation learning and hyperspherical prototype modeling, S3RL enables high‐fidelity spatial domain ...

Microenvironment‐Guided Evolution of ssDNA‐SWCNT Probes for Selective Recognition of Aggressive Prostate Cancer Phenotypes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Random ssDNA–SWCNT(single strand DNA‐single walled carbon nanotube) library is functionally screened and evolved using high‐throughput 3D prostate tumor spheroids via iterative positive and negative selection, enabling the identification of NIR‐II fluorescent ssDNA‐SWCNT nanoprobe specific for prostate cancer.

A single heterochronic blood exchange reveals rapid inhibition of multiple tissues by old blood. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Heterochronic parabiosis rejuvenates the performance of old tissue stem cells at some expense to the young, but whether this is through shared circulation or shared organs is unclear.

Osteopontin attenuates aging‐associated phenotypes of hematopoietic stem cells

open access: yesEMBO Journal, 2017
Upon aging, hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) undergo changes in function and structure, including skewing to myeloid lineages, lower reconstitution potential and loss of protein polarity. While stem cell intrinsic mechanisms are known to contribute to HSC

Arginine Methylation Antagonizes TEAD3‐Mediated Repression to Promote Osteogenic Differentiation by Disrupting RUNX2‐Sequestrating Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the unmethylated state, TEAD forms stable, repressive condensates that sequester the osteogenic master regulator RUNX2. Arginine methylation of TEAD at R55 acts as a molecular brake, dissolving these condensates to release RUNX2 and activate the osteogenic program.

CD10 and osteopontin expression in dentigerous cyst and ameloblastoma

open access: yesDiagnostic Pathology, 2011
Aims and Objectives To investigate the expression of CD10 and osteopontin in dentigerous cyst and ameloblastoma and to correlate their expression with neoplastic potentiality of dentigerous cyst and local invasion and risk of local recurrence in ...

Benefits of Lactoferrin, Osteopontin and Milk Fat Globule Membranes for Infants

open access: yesNutrients, 2017
The provision of essential and non-essential amino acids for breast-fed infants is the major function of milk proteins. In addition, breast-fed infants might benefit from bioactivities of milk proteins, which are exhibited in the intestine during the ...
