Complete mitochondrial genome of Ostrea denselamellosa (Bivalvia, Ostreidae)

Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014
The complete mitochondrial (mt) genome of the flat oyster, Ostrea denselamellosa, was determined using Long-PCR and genome walking techniques in this study. The total length of the mt genome sequence of O. denselamellosa was 16,227 bp, which is the smallest reported Ostreidae mt genome to date. It contained 12 protein-coding genes (lacking of ATP8), 23

Growth of juveniles of (Striostrea prismatica G.) (Ostreida: Ostreidae) under two feeding regimes in a semi-closed circulation system

Agro Productividad
Objective: The effect of two diets on the growth of juveniles of  Striostrea prismatica was studied. Design/Methodology/Approach: The experiment consisted of tasting two diets, each with two replicates of 70 organisms. The experiments were carried out during 45 days in seawater recirculation systems.

Revision of genusCrassostrea(Bivalvia: Ostreidae) of Brazil

Journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, 2014
The Ostreidae are well known for their high intra-specific variation, which makes identification problematic. The present paper aims to provide a morpho-anatomical and taxonomic review of the Brazilian species ofCrassostrea, as well as some congeneric species from other relevant areas. The Brazilian species areCrassostrea manglesp.nov.

Complete mitochondrial genome of the Olympia oysterOstrea lurida(Bivalvia, Ostreidae)

Mitochondrial DNA, 2013
The complete mitochondrial (mt) genome of the Olympia oyster Ostrea lurida (16,344 bp), an economically important bivalve, was newly sequenced and annotated. Ostrea lurida is the largest reported Ostrea oyster mt genomes to date and has a comparatively highest overall A + T content (65%) among the available genomes of marine oysters.
