Infective endocarditis due to Streptococcus acidominimus is exceedingly rare and poses diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. We present a case that highlights the clinical significance of this uncommon pathogen in a patient with diabetes mellitus who was initially presumed to have community‐acquired pneumonia.
