Otolaryngologic Emergencies

The recognition and treatment of common otolaryngologic complaints and disorders encountered in the Emergency Department are discussed. Some, such as massive maxillofacial trauma or airway compromise, are major and life-threatening. Others, such as nasopharyngeal and otologic disorders, are less urgent.
