Institutional Fragility and E‐Business Adoption: A Study of SMEs in a Conflict‐Affected Economy

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines e‐business adoption among SMEs in Yemen, a conflict‐affected and institutionally fragile economy. Drawing on a mixed‐methods design, it combines Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS‐SEM) with qualitative interviews to analyse how war and firm size moderate the effects of key adoption drivers and barriers.

Asymptotic outage performance of power allocation in block-fading channels

open access: yes, 2008
We characterize the asymptotic outage performance of power allocation techniques for systems with average power constraints. We show that the outage diversity of a system with average power constraints can be obtained from the diversity of the ...

Performance of multiple-input multiple-output wireless communications systems using distributed antennas

open access: yes, 2005
In this contribution we propose and investigate a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communications system, where multiple receive antennas are distributed in the area covered by a cellular cell and connected with the base-station (BS).

Dual Pathways of Loneliness in the Marketplace: Emotional Attachment, Empowerment, and Evaluations of Brand Warmth and Brand Competence

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Loneliness shapes consumer behavior, yet whether it increases preference for warm or competent brands remains unresolved. We argue that this question cannot be answered without distinguishing who is perceived to be lonely. Individual loneliness, which is a person's subjective experience of social disconnection, activates agency‐restoration ...

The Application of Telemedicine in Surgery

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
This figure provides an overview of the content presented in this article. Telemedicine is integrated throughout the entire surgical workflow, with distinct applications across the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. These applications are enabled by a suite of supporting technologies, while the associated implementation challenges ...

Performance analysis of physical layer security based on channel correlation

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2021
In view of the correlation of the main and eavesdropper’s channels in physical layer security, the impact of channel correlation on the secrecy performance was studied, the exact form ulations of ergodic secrecy capacity and secrecy outage probability ...

Stabilising Routines in Complex Emergencies: How Basic Service Continuity Shapes Perceived Security

open access: yesPublic Administration and Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how locally embedded actors describe the relationship between basic service continuity and perceived security in complex emergencies, with particular attention to the stabilisation of everyday routines. Using Proximity‐Predictability‐Attributability (PPA) as an analytic lens, we trace how interviewees relate access to water,
