User-Centric Interference Nulling in Downlink Multi-Antenna Heterogeneous Networks [PDF]
In heterogeneous networks (HetNets), strong interference due to spectrum reuse affects each user's signal-to-interference ratio (SIR), and hence is one limiting factor of network performance. In this paper, we propose a user-centric interference nulling (IN) scheme in a downlink large-scale HetNet to improve coverage/outage probability by improving ...

Outage Probability for MIMO MAC Channels [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the outage probability for the mutual information of the sum rate for the MIMO (multiple input multiple output) MAC (multiple access channel) channel. We derive exact results for the “two users” case with two antennas and a general result for K users with an arbitrary number of antennas and different signal-to-noise ratios.

Outage Capacity and Optimal Transmission for Dying Channels [PDF]
In wireless networks, communication links may be subject to random fatal impacts: for example, sensor networks under sudden power losses or cognitive radio networks with unpredictable primary user spectrum occupancy. Under such circumstances, it is critical to quantify how fast and reliably the information can be collected over attacked links.

Outage Probability Analysis for the Multi-Carrier NOMA Downlink Relying on Statistical CSI [PDF]
In this treatise, we derive tractable closed-form expressions for the outage probability of the single cell multi-carrier non-orthogonal multiple access (MC-NOMA) downlink, where the transmitter side only has statistical CSI knowledge.

Analysis of Outage Probabilities for Cooperative NOMA Users with Imperfect CSI [PDF]
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a promising spectrally-efficient technology to meet the massive data requirement of the next-generation wireless communication networks. In this paper, we consider a cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (CNOMA) networks consisting of a base station and two users, where the near user serves as a decode-and ...

Outage Probability of UAV Communications in the Presence of Interference [PDF]
Unlike terrestrial communications, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications have some advantages such as line-of-sight (LoS) environment and flexible mobility, but the interference will be still inevitable. In this paper, we analyze the effect of interference on the UAV communications by considering the LoS probability and different channel fadings

Outage probability of power splitting SWIPT two-way relay networks in Nakagami-m fading
This paper investigates the outage probability of an energy harvesting (EH) relay-aided cooperative network, where a source node transmits information to its destination node with the help of an energy harvesting cooperative node.
