The Spatially Separated Polarization Sensitive FDA-MIMO Radar: A New Antenna Structure for Unambiguous Parameter Estimation

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Joint DOA-range-polarization estimation with a novel radar system, i.e., spatially separated polarization sensitive random frequency diverse array based on multiple-input multiple-output (SS-PSRFDA-MIMO) radar, is discussed. The proposed array can obtain

A Novel Beamforming Algorithm for GNSS Receivers with Dual-Polarized Sensitive Arrays in the Joint Space–Time-Polarization Domain

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Dual-polarized sensitive arrays (DPSAs) with the space⁻time-polarization adaptive processing (STPAP) technique, which employs the polarization domain as well as the space domain and time domain to filter out interferences, can cancel a larger ...

Reactive Synthesis: Towards Output-Sensitive Algorithms

open access: yes, 2017
Reactive synthesis is a technology for the automatic construction of reactive systems from logical specifications. In these lecture notes, we study different algorithms for the reactive synthesis problem of linear-time temporal logic (LTL). The classic game-based synthesis algorithm is input-sensitive in the sense that its performance is asymptotically

Turbo Decision Aided Receivers for Clipping Noise Mitigation in Coded OFDM

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2008
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is the modulation technique used in most of the high-rate communication standards. However, OFDM signals exhibit high peak average to power ratio (PAPR) that makes them particularly sensitive to

An output-sensitive algorithm for computing projections of resultant polytopes [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the twenty-eighth annual symposium on Computational geometry, 2012
We develop an incremental algorithm to compute the Newton polytope of the resultant, aka resultant polytope, or its projection along a given direction. The resultant is fundamental in algebraic elimination and in implicitization of parametric hypersurfaces.

LBS user location privacy protection scheme based on trajectory similarity

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
During the data set input or output, or the data set itself adds noise to enable data distortion to effectively reduce the risk of user privacy leakage.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.
