Vehicle classification algorithm based on binary proximity sensors and neural networks

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2008
To improve the classification accuracy, a new algorithm was developed with binary proximity magnetic sen- sors and back propagation neural networks. In this algorithm, use the low cost and high sensitive magnetic sensors to de- tect the magnetic field ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Relevant Feature Integration and Extraction for Single-Trial Motor Imagery Classification

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2017
Brain computer interfaces provide a novel channel for the communication between brain and output devices. The effectiveness of the brain computer interface is based on the classification accuracy of single trial brain signals. The common spatial pattern (

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Two-Terminal Algorithm Analysis for Unsymmetrical Fault Location on 110 kV Lines

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
This work analyses a two-terminal algorithm designed to locate unsymmetrical faults on 110 kV power transmission lines. The algorithm processes synchronized voltage and current data obtained from both ends of the protected transmission line and ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Integrated Task Scheduling, Path Planning, and Control for Cooperative UGV–UAV Systems via an Extended MPPI-GA Framework

open access: yesIEEE Access
This study presents a cooperative algorithm for heterogeneous unmanned ground and aerial vehicles (UGVs and UAVs). Such cooperative systems have recently garnered significant attention in domains like disaster response, target tracking, and exploration ...

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.
