On optimal output feedback

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1972
Control of linear systems through the use of constant output feedback is considered. Conditions obtained by Levine and Athans [1] that must be satisfied by constant feedback gains in order to be optimal are developed here using an alternate and mechanically simpler approach.

Periodic output feedback

1982 21st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1982
Linear time-invariant discrete-time scalar systems under periodically varying output feedback are considered. Some previous results on pole-placement are summarized, and extensions of these results are presented. The movement of zeros is also discussed.

Output feedback control

Proceedings of the 37th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.98CH36171), 2002
Nash game type of multiobjective output feedback control problems are considered. Sufficient conditions for the existence of optimal controllers are obtained for both finite horizon and infinite horizon problems.

On output feedback decoupling

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1981
A new necessary and sufficient condition is derived to decouple linear time-independent multivariable systems through output feedback. As a consequence of this result, an easily computable sufficient condition for output feedback decoupling is obtained which is expressed in terms of the open-loop parameters of the system.

Output feedback stabilization

[1988] Proceedings. The Twentieth Southeastern Symposium on System Theory, 2003
The 1D wave model presentation of a 2D system is treated. The stabilization problem for the wave model using output feedback is considered. Necessary and/or sufficient conditions for the stabilization problem are derived. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the several techniques. >

Output feedback equivalence

2007 European Control Conference (ECC), 2007
In this paper we present necessary and sufficient conditions for (full) output feedback equivalence of linear control systems. Given two minimal control systems with m inputs n states and r outputs, we give as solution the equality of certain invariants and the existence of solution of a linear system of n(m+r)-mr equations with a number of unknowns ...

Periodic Output Feedback

2017
This chapter examines periodic output feedback (POF) control scheme for spatial control of Advanced Heavy Water Reactor (AHWR) based on three-time-scale decomposition. The numerically ill-conditioned system of AHWR is first decoupled into three subsystems of lower order, namely, slow, fast 1, and fast 2 by three-stage linear transformation and then a ...

Output feedback stabilization †

International Journal of Control, 1972
Introduction of proper serial and/or parallel compensating network in order to make the closed-loop system stable is familiar within the framework of classical control theory, but the perfect and f...
