COMPARATIVE STUDY ON OVA RECOVERY IN Bos indicus AND Bos taurus CATTLE: A SYSTEMATIC ANALYSIS STUDY

open access: yesBiotropia: The Southeast Asian Journal of Tropical Biology
HIGHLIGHTS - Domestic cattle sub species of Bos indicus shows higher ova in their reproduction than Bos taurus - In vitro techniques produce higher ova recovery than in vivo techniques.

A novel cellular pathway of antigen presentation and CD4 T cell activation in vivo [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Dendritic cell activation of CD4 T cells in the lymph node draining a site of infection or vaccination is widely considered the central event in initiating adaptive immunity.

Hypofractionated Radiotherapy Induces ISG15+MHC‐I+ Neutrophils to Augment Anti‐Tumor Immunity and Prime Immune Checkpoint Blockade Responses in Rectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Our previous clinical trials had demonstrated that neoadjuvant hypofractionated radiotherapy (HFRT) combined with immunotherapy yields promising clinical outcomes in locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). However, this combined modality benefits only a subset of patients, highlighting the need to uncover the mechanisms underlying how ...

DMAP1 Deficiency Suppresses Lung Cancer Progression by Destabilizing Replication Fork and Activating IFN Signaling‐Mediated Anti‐tumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer‐related death. We investigated the role of the epigenetic regulator DMAP1 in NSCLC and found that its loss induces replication stress and DNA damage. This in turn activates type I IFN signaling via the cGAS–STING pathway and transcriptional ISG de‐repression, enhancing anti‐tumor immune responses ...

Cytokine production by spleen cells from mice with ovalbumin-specific, IgE-selective unresponsiveness induced by ovalbumin-liposome conjugate

open access: yesAllergology International, 1997
Ovalbumin coupled with liposomes (OVA–liposome) induced selective unresponsiveness of anti-OVA IgE antibody production in BALB/c mice, whereas OVA adsorbed with aluminum hydroxide (OVA–alum) induced a substantial amount of anti-OVA IgE antibody ...

Expression of VPAC1 in a murine model of allergic asthma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) is a putative neurotransmitter of the inhibitory non-adrenergic non-cholinergic nervous system and influences the mammalian airway function in various ways.

KCNJ2 is Required for NLRP3 Inflammasome Activation That Drives Allergic Airway Inflammation and Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study aims to evaluate the impact of the potassium channel KCNJ2 on asthma development. KCNJ2 promotes NLRP3 inflammasome activation through both Ca2+ influx and K+ efflux in airway epithelial cells, which drives allergic airway inflammation and remodeling, suggesting a promising therapeutic target for asthma.

The role of calcium‐sensitive receptor in ovalbumin‐induced airway inflammation and hyperresponsiveness in juvenile mice with asthma

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2022
The role of the calcium‐sensitive receptor (CaSR) was assessed in a juvenile mouse model of asthma induced by ovalbumin (OVA). The experiment was divided into normal control, OVA, and OVA +2.5/5 mg/kg NPS2143 (a CaSR antagonist) groups. OVA induction was

Context‐Dependent Role of GDF15: GDF15+ Tumor‐Associated Macrophages Suppress OSCC Progression by Enhancing Phagocytosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies GDF15+ TAMs as a cell subset mediating tumor regression after immunotherapy. Macrophage‐intrinsic GDF15 enhances phagocytosis and antigen cross‐presentation to CD8+ T cells through the NF‐κB signaling pathway, thereby inhibiting tumor progression.
