A validated model of serum anti-Mullerian hormone from conception to menopause [PDF]
Background: Anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) is a product of growing ovarian follicles. The concentration of AMH in blood may also reflect the non-growing follicle (NGF) population, i.e. the ovarian reserve, and be of value in predicting reproductive lifespan. A full description of AMH production up to the menopause has not been reported.

Initial and Cyclic Recruitment of Ovarian Follicles* [PDF]
AbstractMammalian ovaries consist of follicles as basic functional units. The total number of ovarian follicles is determined early in life, and the depletion of this pool leads to reproductive senescence. Each follicle develops to either ovulate or, more likely, to undergo degeneration.

The paper is divided into three main sections: a review of the development of spatial transcriptomics technology, its applications in livestock and poultry research, and its future prospects. This article provides an overview of the current state of spatial transcriptomics in animal research, exploring its integration with multiomics technologies as ...

Background Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is one of the major causes of infertility. We previously demonstrated that transplantation of menstrual blood-derived stromal cells (MenSCs) effectively improved ovarian function in a murine model of POI ...

Cauchy problem for multiscale conservation laws: Application to structured cell populations [PDF]
In this paper, we study a vector conservation law that models the growth and selection of ovarian follicles. During each ovarian cycle, only a definite number of follicles ovulate, while the others undergo a degeneration process called atresia. This work is motivated by a multiscale mathematical model starting on the cellular scale, where ovulation or ...

Deciphering the skeletal interoceptive circuitry to control bone homeostasis
This review introduces the skeletal interoceptive circuitry, covering the ascending signals from bone tissues to the brain (sensors), the central neural circuits that integrate this information and dispatch commands (CPU), and the descending pathways that regulate bone homeostasis (effectors).

Analysis and calibration of a linear model for structured cell populations with unidirectional motion : Application to the morphogenesis of ovarian follicles [PDF]
We analyze a multi-type age dependent model for cell populations subject to unidirectional motion, in both a stochastic and deterministic framework. Cells are distributed into successive layers; they may divide and move irreversibly from one layer to the next.

Hypo-responsiveness to controlled ovarian stimulation is an undervalued topic in reproductive medicine. This phenomenon manifests as a low follicles output rate (FORT) with a discrepancy between the relatively low number of pre-ovulatory follicles which ...
