Topical bupivacaine HCl applied to the ovarian pedicle during laparoscopic ovariectomy in dogs significantly reduced early postoperative UMPS pain scores and modulated antioxidant enzyme activity (SOD, CAT). Elective ovariohysterectomy in dogs induced significant time‐dependent changes in postoperative pain scores and systemic inflammatory/stress biomarkers. However, these biomarkers did not reliably reflect acute pain intensity, supporting multimodal pain assessment rather than biomarker‐based evaluation alone.
