Abstract Background Data evaluating paracetamol combined with NSAIDs in dogs are scarce. Results of clinical studies in dogs investigating intravenous paracetamol vary. Methods Dogs were randomised to either receive 10 mg/kg paracetamol intravenously after induction of anaesthesia and every 8 hours during hospitalisation (test) or not (control).

Granulosa cell tumour arising from ovarian remnant tissue can occur in spayed cats without overt estrus signs, despite marked hyperestrogenaemia. In this case, CT showed a large abdominal mass contiguous with ovarian vasculature; surgery and histopathology confirmed granulosa cell tumour with hepatic metastasis.

Presumed immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia associated with pregnancy in a cat
Case summary A 7-year-old female entire Birman presented with acute-onset haemorrhagic vulvar discharge. Moderate, normocytic, normochromic, non-/pre-regenerative anaemia, along with a moderate mature neutrophilia, were seen on haematology.

Disseminated Metastatic Tubulopapillary Mammary Carcinoma in a Captive Fennec Fox (Vulpes zerda)
A captive female fennec fox developed a disseminated Grade II tubulopapillary mammary carcinoma with metastases to the mammary gland region, pectoral muscle, lungs and pleural cavity. Tumour cells at all sites showed strong cytoplasmic, rather than nuclear, estrogen receptor alpha immunofluorescence.
