Coordination of over-current relays for cascaded parallel feeder
7th IET International Conference on Advances in Power System Control, Operation and Management (APSCOM 2006), 2006This paper presents an idea of the relay coordination for cascaded parallel feeders fed from both ends as if it were a part of the interconnected power system. The criterion for setting of the relays in radial feeder is not exactly applicable to the parallel feeders fed from both the ends.

Optimal coordination of distance and over-current relays using ICA
2014 19th Conference on Electrical Power Distribution Networks (EPDC), 2014Coordination of different relays in transmission systems is an important issue in relays application. In this paper, the over-current and distance relays are coordinated through the Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) considering time setting multiplier (TSM) and pickup current of the relays.

Application of the Firefly algorithm to optimal over-current relay coordination
2014 International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM), 2014Optimization of over current relay settings is a major problem in protection of electrical power systems. This paper describes the Firefly algorithm for optimal time coordination of these relays. The algorithm has been implemented in MATLAB and tested on a radial system, as well as a single end fed system with a parallel feeder. The results obtained by
