Adaptive over current relay coordination algorithm for changing short circuit fault levels
2015 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Asia (ISGT ASIA), 2015Fault levels are continuously changing in the electric networks due to change in the network impendences and configurations. These changes causes maloperation of the over current relays. An over current relay coordination algorithm is proposed in this paper, which utilizes adaptive fuzzy technique to select the optimal relay settings.

Application of linear programming for optimal coordination of directional over-current relays

The relays are configured by adjusting time dial setting (TDS) of function properly in normal and fault conditions. The TDS adjustment is performed by using linear programming.
