Microfabrication of Soft Millirobots Propelled by Low Voltage Electrohydraulic Actuators

Manual layer‐by‐layer assembly is replaced by wafer‐level MEMS batch fabrication for compliant polymer‐based electrohydraulic actuators. The microfabricated devices integrate sacrificially defined microcavities, Parylene‐C‐sealed inlets, and multilayer polymer–metal films.

Hydro‐ and Lipophilicity of Molecular‐Size‐Controlled Hydrogel Drug Carriers

We investigate nano‐sized hydrogel drug carriers with tailored hydro‐ and lipophilicity. We design their encapsulation and structure‐forming capabilities and follow them in real time during fabrication using time‐resolved and in situ grazing incidence x‐ray scattering.

Liquid Crystal Elastomer Actuator Matrix for Large Area Applications

Biodegradable and Edible Milli‐Fluidic Logic Circuits

Fully biodegradable and edible fluidic circuits are developed using gelatin‐based valves that operate at low pressure. Logic gates, a one‐bit memory, and a ring oscillator are demonstrated, showing that biodegradable materials can perform computation and control.
