Implementation of protection circuit for over voltage and under voltage protection

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021
Abstract This paper identifies the development of an under voltage and over voltage protection in order to avoid damage in load side. Most of the industries and as well as home appliances are very expensive also more sensitive. This may get damaged due to the instabilities in ac mains supply.

Aging of the over-voltage protection elements caused by over-voltages

Microelectronics Reliability, 2002
The aim of this work is examining the influence of the number of the activation––over-voltage pulses to the aging of over-voltage protection elements. Both non-linear (gas-filled surge arresters (GFSA), varistors, over-voltage diodes) and linear (capacitors––constituents of filters) over-voltage protection elements were tested. The instruments employed

Aging of the over-voltage protection components

2002 23rd International Conference on Microelectronics. Proceedings (Cat. No.02TH8595), 2003
The aim of this work was to examine the influence of the number of activations, i.e. over-voltage pulses, on the aging of over-voltage protection elements. Both nonlinear (gas-filled surge arresters (GFSA), varistors, over-voltage diodes), and linear (capacitors-constituents of filters) over-voltage protection elements were tested. The instruments used

An over-voltage protection circuit for CMOS power amplifiers

2008 15th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2008
With increasing demand for higher integration and lower cost of mobile communication devices there is a growing trend towards the use of CMOS power amplifiers (PAs) instead of GaAs or SiGe PAs. Although being comparatively inexpensive, CMOS not only suffers from inferior RF performance but also from low breakdown voltages. This gets an issue especially

Over-Voltage Protection Epoxy-CNT Composites

2019 International Conference on Electronics Packaging (ICEP), 2019
The electronics industry is always looking for new ways of protecting devices from over-voltage, or over-current scenarios. In the present work we will introduce novel low-voltage epoxy-carbon nanotube composites with high non-linearity values in resistive devices. Some of the non-linearities achieved had alpha values greater than 10.
