An Explicit Analytical Solution for Transient Two-Phase Flow in Inclined Fluid Transmission Lines
Due to the complex nonlinearity characteristics, analytical modeling of compressible flow in inclined transmission lines remains a challenge. This paper proposes an analytical model for one-dimensional flow of a two-phase gas-liquid fluid in inclined ...

CFD Simulations of Gas Holdup in a Bubble Column at High Gas Temperature of a Helium-Water System
Bubble columns (BCs) are systems that contain two-phases; gas, and liquid, in which gaseous bubbles are dispersed through a liquid in a vertical column. They have a wide range of applications because of their many advantages. The hydrodynamics of the BCs

Effect of Solid Particles on Gas Holdup in a Slurry Bubble Column
A slurry bubble column SBC is a vertical cylindrical column that consists of a solid and liquid slurry and a gas that is injected from the bottom. The study of gas holdup plays an important role in the scale up analysis of a SBC from the perspective of ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
