The Unsung Hero Towards Net Zero: The Role of Community Engagement in Circular Economy Capabilities

open access: yesBritish Journal of Management, EarlyView.
Abstract Prior circular economy (CE) literature has predominantly focused on technological knowledge in the development of firms’ CE capabilities. However, since CE represents a sustainable way of life that intricately links materials, technology and affected communities, technological knowledge alone is only partially useful.

H Output-Feedback Anti-Swing Control for a Nonlinear Overhead Crane System With Disturbances Based on T-S Fuzzy Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In this paper, the $H_{\infty }$ output-feedback controller for a nonlinear overhead crane system with external disturbances was developed. Firstly, the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model was used to represent the overhead crane system nonlinearity.

An Experimental Exploration of Cognitive Workload and Situational Awareness in Virtual Reality: Implications for Non‐Clinical Emotional Support

open access: yesInternational Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research, Volume 35, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Many people face emotional challenges without meeting the criteria for clinical mental disorders. Virtual Reality (VR) has become popular in psychotherapy due to accessibility, but it can sometimes increase cognitive workload (CWL) and decrease situational awareness (SA).

Computational Model for Calculation Horizontal Forces on Crane Runway [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2019
During a motion of an overhead bridge crane horizontal forces between wheels of the crane and the crane runway occur. These forces can be caused by skewing, acceleration or braking of the crane.

Failure of two overhead crane shafts

open access: yesEngineering Failure Analysis, 2014
The failure analysis of two overhead crane shafts is presented: the failure of an overhead crane drive shaft and the failure of an overhead crane gearbox shaft, due to rotating-bending fatigue. The fracture of the overhead crane drive shaft originated in small radius fillet between two different diameters of the shaft.

Safety Considerations in Deployment of Robotic Systems – A Systematic Review

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 1, Page 5-33, January 2026.
ABSTRACT An in‐depth understanding of the risks related to robotic systems is crucial to guarantee safety throughout all stages of robot design and operations. This required a thorough risk assessment following international standards. This study presents a systematic review of previous research on safety considerations in the design of robotic systems,

Modelling and Sway Control of a Double-Pendulum Overhead Crane System

open access: yesApplications of Modelling and Simulation, 2017
A crane system is very important in industries as the system is used to transport a heavy load from one place to another. A double-pendulum type overhead crane system is very difficult to control as it suffers from payload sway and double-pendulum ...

Analysis on fatigue life of overhead travelling crane girder under impact load for sustainable transport system

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, 2020
As the main bearing structure of the crane, the girder structure determines its service life. While the girder structure meets the strength, stiffness, and stability, its fatigue life should be paid more attention.

Microbial Contamination Risks From Adjacent and Nearby Land: Evidence and Implications for Produce Safety

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Consumers’ demand for fresh produce is rising due to dietary preferences and public health campaigns. Fresh produce is often consumed raw or minimally processed to retain nutrient content. If contaminated, fresh produce can become a vehicle for pathogen transmission and potentially cause outbreaks.
