Drones are used to monitor bird nesting sites at less accessible locations, such as on cliffs, human infrastructure, or within the tree canopy. While there are a growing number of studies documenting avian behavioral responses to various drones, there is a continued need to monitor taxa‐specific responses to different drone models. We explored both the

The Unsung Hero Towards Net Zero: The Role of Community Engagement in Circular Economy Capabilities
Abstract Prior circular economy (CE) literature has predominantly focused on technological knowledge in the development of firms’ CE capabilities. However, since CE represents a sustainable way of life that intricately links materials, technology and affected communities, technological knowledge alone is only partially useful.

Couple Anti-Swing Obstacle Avoidance Control Strategy for Underactuated Overhead Cranes
Overhead cranes are widely used for transportation in factories. They move slowly by manual operation to prevent the payload from swinging sharply or colliding with sudden obstacles.

Nonlinear Dynamic Modelling and Analysis of a 3-D Overhead Gantry Crane System with System Parameters Variation [PDF]
Overhead cranes are widely used in industry for transportation of heavy loads. The natural sway of crane payloads is detrimental to safe and efficient operation. However, the crane acceleration, required for motion, always induces undesirable load swing.

Comparison of anti-vibration control structures for single pendulum cranes
The practical implementation of feedback-based anti-sway control for overhead cranes is often constrained by sensor noise, high installation costs, and harsh operating environments, driving a shift toward simple, sensor-less solutions.

Failure of two overhead crane shafts
The failure analysis of two overhead crane shafts is presented: the failure of an overhead crane drive shaft and the failure of an overhead crane gearbox shaft, due to rotating-bending fatigue. The fracture of the overhead crane drive shaft originated in small radius fillet between two different diameters of the shaft.
