Echinoderm‐Inspired Autonomy for Soft‐Legged Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Inspired by echinoderms, a modular soft robot achieves autonomous phototaxis without a central controller or explicit communication. Each limb independently adapts its actuation timing through local sensing and short‐term memory. Coordination emerges purely from physical interactions, demonstrating resilience to changes in morphology, environment, and ...

ChicGrasp: Imitation‐Learning‐Based Customized Dual‐Jaw Gripper Control for Manipulation of Delicate, Irregular Bio‐Products

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

LLM‐Integrated Human–Robot Interaction System for Microrobots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This paper proposes an LLM‐based control framework for guiding microrobots using human natural language. This framework can convert the natural human speech into safe and executable command sets for reliable navigation in complex environments. The experimental results show high accuracy and robustness in task performance, demonstrating the potential of

BASIC PRINCIPLES OF ORGANIZING OF REPAIR OF A NEW GENERATION OF ELECTRIC POWER LINES 220 kV AND ABOVE

open access: yesProblems of the Regional Energetics, 2011
The article describes the requirements for repair work on single circuit and double circuit overhead transmission lines of compact (VL) and controlled self-compensating high voltage transmission power lines (CSHVL).These include overhead power lines to a

Comparative Analysis of Overhead Power Transmission Lines based on Loadability Characteristics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The loadability curves of different types of overhead transmission lines are computed and compared in this paper, for line length up to 500 km. The considered solutions are: traditional three-phase single and double circuit ac lines, four-phase ac lines,

Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Analytical Description of Overhead Transmission Lines Loadability

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
The loadability characteristics of overhead transmission lines (OHLs) is certainly not a new topic. However, driven by sustainability issues, the increasing need to exploit existing electrical infrastructures as much as possible, has given OHL ...

3D COMPUTATION OF THE OVERHEAD POWER LINES ELECTRIC FIELD

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research M, 2017
In this paper, a 3D quasistatic numerical algorithm for computation of the electric field produced by overhead power lines is presented. The real catenary form of the overhead power line phase conductors and shield wires is taken into account with an arbitrary number of straight thin-wire cylindrical segments of active and passive conductors.
