Although Pulsed field ablation (PFA) has demonstrated efficacy for atrial fibrillation, its safety in patients with leadless pacemaker remains uncertain. This case suggests that extensive PFA involving persistent left superior vena cava, superior vena cava, and left atrial posterior wall can be safely performed without device interference.

Background Subcutaneous implantable cardioverter‐defibrillator (S‐ICD) has been reported to be non‐inferior to transvenous ICD (TV‐ICD) in terms of device‐related complications and inappropriate shock (IAS).

Inappropriate shock for myopotential over-sensing in a patient with subcutaneous ICD
Inappropriate ICD shocks are common adverse events; they are mainly due to supraventricular arrhythmias and secondly are related to noise, undersensing, oversensing, device malfunctions.

Abstract Aim Current radiotherapy (RT) guidelines for Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs) are largely based on clinical management strategies and retrospective reports. This systematic review adopts a medical physics perspective to provide a critical, quantitative analysis of the technical evidence required for developing robust safety ...

S‐ICD therapy demonstrated favorable mid‐term safety and efficacy in pediatric patients, with durable sensing performance and a low incidence of device‐related infection. ABSTRACT Background The subcutaneous implantable cardioverter‐defibrillator (S‐ICD) avoids transvenous leads and is a promising option for sudden cardiac death (SCD) prevention in ...

Repetitive non-reentrant ventriculo-atrial synchrony (RNRVAS) is a pacemaker-induced arrhythmia that must be distinguished from atrial fibrillation (AF). Pacemaker-induced arrhythmias are commonly detected as atrial high rate episodes (AHRE) by implanted

In Vitro Assessment of 3T MRI Effects on Non–3T‐Compatible Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices
ABSTRACT Background The safety of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) during 3‐Tesla (3T) MRI remains uncertain, particularly for devices not designed for 3T use. We experimentally evaluated 3T MRI effects on 3T‐compatible and non–3T‐compatible CIEDs.

Oversensing of the wearable cardioverter defibrillator during bipolar ventricular stimulation [PDF]
The wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) is a temporary treatment option for patients with potentially reversible risk of sudden cardiac death. This case demonstrates a pitfall during WCD usage in a pacemaker-dependent patient as well as a possible solution allowing continuation of WCD therapy.

Ventricular oversensing of atrial electrical activity that inhibits VVI pacemaker and causes syncope
Far-field oversensing of atrial electrical activity caused by a VVI pacemaker is a rare phenomenon; however, it may have serious clinical consequences. It has several causes and its timely identification may avoid a possible ventricular asystole.
