Tuning Stability and Optoelectronic Properties of CsSnI3 Via Rare‐Earth Doping

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Sn‐based halide perovskites are promising optoelectronic materials but are limited by poor stability. Thus, rare‐earth elements (RE) doping in CsSnI3 addresses this limitation, significantly enhancing thermodynamic, mechanical, and chemical stability, while simultaneously tuning electronic characteristics and modulating optical responses in the ...

Three Birds with One Stone: High‐Performance 2D Lead‐Free Perovskite Solar Cells via Direct In Situ Generation of Organic‐Spacer Precursors

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Adopting a “three birds with one stone” strategy, the in situ generation of organic spacer simultaneously addresses three major challenges limiting 2D tin‐based perovskites: (1) Sn2+ oxidation; (2) rapid crystallization; and (3) uncontrolled 2D phase distribution.

Application of an unstructured overset method for predicting the gear windage power losses

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics, 2021
Enhancing the efficiency of gear systems is of significance to reduce fuel consumption and overall weight. Windage power losses become prevailing in high-speed gear systems, such as aero-engine applications.

Overset grids in compressible flow

7th Computational Physics Conference, 1985
Numerical experiments have been performed to investigate the importance of boundary data handling with overset grids in computational fluid dynamics. Experience in using embedded grid techniques in compressible flow has shown that shock waves which cross grid boundaries become ill defined and convergence is generally degraded.

An overset grid method for the study of reflex tearing

Mathematical Medicine and Biology, 2008
We present an overset grid method to simulate the evolution of human tear film thickness subject to reflex tearing. The free-surface evolution is governed by a single fourth-order non-linear equation derived from lubrication theory with specified film thickness and volume flux at each end.
