Development, Live Birth and Fertility in Mouse Oocytes Penetrated by Spermatids Exposed to the HDAC Inhibitor Scriptaid

open access: yesReproductive Medicine and Biology, Volume 25, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose In mouse embryos derived from round spermatid injection (ROSI), low developmental potential due to abnormal histone modification is improved by histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors. However, some studies suggest that the use of such inhibitors leads to the birth of hypomorphic offspring.

Quality, Chemical Composition, and Amino Acids of Eggs in Lohmann Pink‐Shell Laying Hens and Dongxiang Green‐Shell Laying Hens

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
Hen breed and age – Lohmann Pink‐shell (LMP), Dongxiang Green‐shell (DXG), Dongxiang Pink‐shell (DXP), first‐laid Dongxiang Green‐shell (DXGF), and first‐laid Dongxiang Pink‐shell (DXPF) – significantly influence egg quality, biochemical traits, and amino acid composition, with yolk EAA/TAA ratios of 54.53–55.33 and albumen ratios of 53.38–53.71 ...

Exploring the Impact of In Ovo Injection of Flavonoid‐Based Aromatase Inhibitors on Gonadal Histology Differentiation in Ross 308 Broiler Chickens

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study aimed to evaluate the in ovo injection of nettle extract, mushroom extract and their mixture as natural anti‐aromatase on sex reversal, histological changes in ovaries and testes and carcass characteristics of Ross 308 broiler chickens. Sex differentiation in avian species A completely randomized block design used to allocate 500 fertilized ...

Fire‐induced disturbances in Malpighiaceae sequential flowering: Implications for pollination services and plant reproductive success

open access: yesPlant Species Biology, Volume 41, Issue 1, January 2026.
Our study demonstrates that fire has a strong influence on flowering phenology and reproductive dynamics in Malpighiaceae species from the Brazilian Cerrado. Specifically, fire triggered an earlier onset of flowering and promoted a more synchronous and widespread blooming, resulting in a temporary surge in floral resource availability. This increase in
