Blighted ovum and tubal pregnancy: a rare form of heterotopic pregnancy: case report

open access: yesBMC Research Notes, 2018
Background Heterotopic pregnancies are rare in spontaneous conceptions. Nonetheless, when it does occur, the intrauterine pregnancy is usually viable. We herein present a true rarity of the coexistence of a blighted ovum and an ectopic pregnancy.

LRRC4 Deficiency Drives Premature Ovarian Insufficiency by Disrupting Metabolic Homeostasis in Granulosa Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LRRC4 deficiency disrupts the metabolic homeostasis of mitochondrial aerobic respiration and glycolysis during GC differentiation by inhibiting the ubiquitination‐mediated degradation of YAP, which ultimately leads to POI. These findings reveal the novel molecular etiology of POI and provide a promising target for prevention and treatment.

PABPN1 Couples the Polyadenylation and Translation of Maternal Transcripts to Mouse Oocyte Meiotic Maturation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cytoplasmic PABPN1 is essential for mouse oocyte meiotic maturation by coordinating polyadenylation, translation, and degradation of maternal mRNAs. Pabpn1 knockout disrupts CDK1 activation, spindle formation, and chromosome alignment by impairing maturation‐promoting factor (MPF) regulation and BTG4‐mediated deadenylation ...

Waste Utilization: Physicochemical characteristics, stability and applications of emulsified Rana chensinensis ovum oil with waste extracts

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X, 2022
Rana chensinensis ovum (RCO) is the major waste/by-product of Oviductus Ranae. This study investigated physicochemical characteristics and stability of emulsified Rana chensinensis ovum oil (RCOO) with Rana chensinensis ovum protein isolates (RCOPI) by ...

DON‐Loaded Nanodrug‐T Cell Conjugates With PD‐L1 Blockade for Solid Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes DON‐loaded T cell‐nanodrug conjugates with PD‐L1 blockade, creating a synergistic system. As a glutamine antagonist, sustained DON release enhances T‐cell endurance and infiltration by promoting memory differentiation and upregulating adhesion and motility genes, while PD‐L1 blockade alleviates immunosuppression and directs T ...

Assisted reproductive technology in the USA: is more regulation needed? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The regulation of assisted reproductive technologies is a contested area. Some jurisdictions, such as the UK and a number of Australian states, have comprehensive regulation of most aspects of assisted reproductive technologies; others, such as the USA ...
