OWA Operators in Regression Problems [PDF]
We consider an application of fuzzy logic connectives to statistical regression. We replace the standard least squares, least absolute deviation, and maximum likelihood criteria with an ordered weighted averaging (OWA) function of the residuals. Depending on the choice of the weights, we obtain the standard regression problems, high-breakdown robust ...

ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of local labour market concentration on wage and non‐wage attributes, leveraging demand‐side panel data. The analysis replicates the standard findings on wage and hiring elasticity, potentially revealing an additional layer‐abstention from collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) could lead to a double ...

The General Least Square Deviation OWA Operator Problem
A crucial issue in applying the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator for decision making is the determination of the associated weights. This paper proposes a general least convex deviation model for OWA operators which attempts to obtain the ...

Nowadays, decision making problems have increased their complexity and a single decision maker cannot handle these problems, with a more diverse and comprehensive view of them being necessary, which results in group decision making (GDM) schemes.

Lattice Stiffening and Delayed Fluorescence in Columnar Liquid‐Crystalline Glasses
If the substitution pattern is well‐chosen, semiflexible triaryltriazine esters form glassy columnar liquid crystals whose column lattice distinctively shrinks at the glass transition. The presence of columnar liquid‐crystalline order is found to favor delayed fluorescence by triplet–triplet annihilation.

On MILP Models for the OWA Optimization
The problem of aggregating multiple outcomes to form overall objective functions is of considerable importance in many applications. The ordered weighted averaging (OWA) aggregation uses the weights assigned to the ordered values (i.e., to the largest ...

Decision Support under Risk by Optimization of Scenario Importance Weighted OWA Aggregations
The problem of evaluation outcomes under several scenarios to form overall objective functions is of considerable importance in decision support under uncertainty. The fuzzy operator defined as the so-called weighted OWA (WOWA) aggregation offers a well-

Owa Operators In Generalized Distances
Different types of aggregation operators such as the ordered weighted quasi-arithmetic mean (Quasi-OWA) operator and the normalized Hamming distance are studied. We introduce the use of the OWA operator in generalized distances such as the quasiarithmetic distance.

Recursive families of OWA operators [PDF]
Introduces an alternative characterization of OWA operators by means of recursive definitions on their dimension. Some mathematical results are provided along with some examples concerning also a characterization of linguistic quantifiers by means of these recursive definitions of OWA operators.

Decision making techniques with similarity measures and OWA operators [PDF]
We analyse the use of the ordered weighted average (OWA) in decision-making giving special attention to business and economic decision-making problems. We present several aggregation techniques that are very useful for decision-making such as the Hamming
