Shrimp Virus Regulates ROS Dynamics via the Nrf2 Pathway to Facilitate Viral Replication

Viruses manipulate host ROS as a strategy to achieve successful infection. WSSV exploits Nrf2 pathway to maintain ROS homeostasis and establishes a positive feedback loop to facilitate WSSV replication. Wsv220 competitively binds to Keap1 to activate Nrf2. Nrf2 up‐regulates LvG6PDH to produce more NADPH and GSH to eliminate excessive ROS.

Programmed Fabrication of Vesicle‐Based Prototissue Fibers with Modular Functionalities

The fabrication of freestanding vesicle‐based prototissue fibers is reported. The lengths, diameters, and shapes of the fibers can be well‐controlled. Multimodular fibers with different prototissues can be fabricated. Focusing on modularity, manipulation functionalities are obtained when connected with magnetic fibers.

The last dimerization step of actinorhodin (ACT) biosynthesis was established through biochemical studies. ActVA‐ORF4 is a unique NAD(P)H‐dependent enzyme that catalyzes the biaryl‐coupling reaction using 8‐hydroxydihydrokalafungin (DHK‐OH) as the sole substrate. ActVA‐ORF3 is a quinone‐forming enzyme that forms DHK‐OH and ACT.
