Use of Batroxobin in Central and Peripheral Ischemic Vascular Diseases: A Systematic Review

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2021
Background and Purpose: The mechanism of action of Batroxobin included the decomposition of the fibrinogen to fibrin degradation products (FDPs) and D-dimer and mobilization of endothelial cells to release endogenous nt-PA and to promote thrombolysis ...

Graphenes as Metal‐free Catalysts for the Oxidative Depolymerization of Lignin Models

open access: yesChemCatChem, 2015
AbstractGraphene oxide promotes the oxidative degradation of α‐guaiacylglycerol‐β‐guaiacyl ether, a lignin model compound, in different solvents including acetonitrile, toluene and water mainly to guaiacol, 2‐methoxyquinone, vanillic acid and coniferyl aldehyde.

Oxidative depolymerization of lignins for producing aromatics: variation of botanical origin and extraction methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Several lignin samples of varying botanical nature (softwood, hardwood, or annual plants) and extraction procedures (Kraft, Organosolv, or soda) were fully characterized by complementary techniques and engaged in “catalyst-free” depolymerization in air ...

MgFe2O4 Nanoparticle/Peracetic Acid Hybrids for Catalytic Oxidative Depolymerization of Lignin

open access: yes, 2023
Lignin is a promising feedstock for renewable fuels and chemicals due to its aromatic skeleton and natural abundance. Lignin can be converted to diverse aromatic monomers as well as dicarboxylic acids depending on the applied conversion technologies ...

From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.
