State of the Art of Fuel Cells for Ship Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Fuel cells promise to be far more efficient, produce lower or zero emissions, and operate cleaner than conventional internal-combustion engine and gas turbine. They are already used for transportation application (buses, cars and tramways).

Mechanical and metallurgical properties of two-layered diamalloy 4010 and 2002 HVOF coating [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Diamalloy 4010, which is iron/molybdenum blend, is resistive to wear and Diamalloy 2002 is resistive to corrosion and wear. However, combination of these powders in layered structure, may offer advantages over the individual powders.

Optimal dispatching of virtual power plant considering information gap decision theory and oxy-fuel combustion carbon capture technology

open access: yesDiance yu yibiao
In the context of “dual-carbon” target, in order to effectively reduce the impacts of carbon emissions and source and load uncertainties on the economic optimal dispatching of the virtual power plant (VPP) system, and to further explore the high-grade ...

Anolyte Selection Framework for Iodide Oxidation Coupled Hydrogen Evolution‐Based Hybrid Electrolysis Process

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 19, 1 October 2026.
Investigation of anolyte composition in IOR‐coupled hybrid electrolysis shows that anolyte composition dictates open‐circuit voltage and cell resistance rather than net activation overpotential. Lower I2/HI and higher HI/H2O ratios reduce cell voltage.

Oxygen‐Vacancy‐Engineered CoSnO3/rGO Nanocubes as High‐Performance Cathode Electrocatalysts for Advanced Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 19, 1 October 2026.
An amorphous CoSnO3/rGO nanocube catalyst with 22.54% engineered oxygen vacancies was synthesized via localized carbothermal reduction. The defect‐rich, disordered structure accelerates VO2+/VO2+ redox kinetics, enabling vanadium redox flow batteries to achieve an outstanding energy efficiency of 74.22% at 160 mA cm−2 with robust cycling stability ...

Performance and carbon emissions of a diesel/oxy-hydrogen dual-fuel engine with oxy-hydrogen injection variation under low and medium load conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Renewable Energy Development
Reducing carbon emissions such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) from diesel engines struggled with engine performance challenges and fossil fuel limitations. Besides, huge transportation such as ships hardly replaced diesel engines due to
