Levels of chlordane, oxychlordane, and nonachlor in human blood

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1991
In a previous study, the authors investigated the levels of chlordane, oxychlordane and nonachlor in human adipose tissues. Oxychlordane is one of the metabolites of chlordane in mammals. Nonachlor is one of major components of technical chlordane. They detected the three compounds in all of 24 subjects.

Persistent organochlorines in raccoon dogs (Nyctereutes procyonoides) from Japan: Hepatic sequestration of oxychlordane

Chemosphere, 2007
The present study determined the accumulation features of persistent organochlorines (OCs) such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane and its metabolites (DDTs), hexachlorocyclohexane isomers (HCHs), hexachlorobenzene (HCB), and chlordane compounds (CHLs) in wild raccoon dogs (RDs; Nyctereutes procyonoides) collected from

Levels and enantiomeric ratios of alpha-HCH, oxychlordane, and PCB 149 in blubber of harbour seals (Phoca vitulina) and grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) from Iceland and further species

open access: yes, 1998
The chiral stationary phase beta-TBDM (35% heptakis(6-0-tert.-butyldimethylsily1-2-3-di-0-methyl)-beta-cyclodextrin in OV-1701) was applied to study the enantioenrichment of alpha-HCH, oxychlordane, and PCB 149 in blubber of two seal species from Iceland

Levels of polychlorinated dibenzofurans, dibenzodioxins, PCBS, DDT and DDE, hexachlorobenzene, dieldrin, hexachlorocyclohexanes and oxychlordane in human breast milk from the United States, Thailand, Vietnam, and Germany

Chemosphere, 1989
Abstract Chlorinated dioxins and dibenzofurans have been reported in breast milk specimens from a number of countries in recent years. The values reported here extend the number of countries throughout the world from which human milk PCDD/F data is being reported.

Levels and enantiomeric ratios of α-hch, oxychlordane, and pcb 149 in blubber of harbour seals (Phoca vitulina) and grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) from iceland and further species

Chemosphere, 1998
The chiral stationary phase beta-TBDM (35% heptakis(6-O-tert.-butyldimethylsilyl-2,3-di-O-methyl)-beta-cyc lod extrin in OV-1701) was applied to study the enantioenrichment of alpha-HCH, oxychlordane, and PCB 149 in blubber of two seal species from Iceland by gas chromatography with electron capture detection. The examined harbour seals (Phoca vitulina)

Anaerobic transformation of four abundant organochlorine pesticide residues (B8-1413, B9-1679, oxychlordane,p,p‵-DDE) in extracts of Antarctic skua eggs by the isolated bacteriumSulfurospirillum multivorans

Toxicological & Environmental Chemistry, 2005
Residues of halogenated pollutants bioaccumulated in eggs of the south polar skua (Catharacta maccormicki) from the Antarctic were extracted, purified, and fractionated. The target fraction which contained the bulk of the chloropesticides was concentrated and incubated with cell suspensions of the isolated bacterium Sulfurospirillum multivorans ...

Oxychlordane and trans-nonachlor in breast adipose tissue and risk of female breast cancer.

Journal of epidemiology and biostatistics, 2001
Organochlorine compounds, including organochlorine pesticides, have been suggested by some, but not all, studies to be associated with female breast-cancer risk. So far, studies relating organochlorine compounds and breast-cancer risk have mainly focused on polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) as risk factors for ...
