Noninvasive in vivo photoacoustic measurement of internal jugular venous oxygenation in humans [PDF]
In many clinical conditions, such as head trauma, stroke, and low cardiac output states, the brain is at risk for hypoxic-ischemic injury. The metabolic rate and oxygen consumption of the brain are reflected in internal jugular venous oxygen saturation (sijvO2). The current gold standard for monitoring brain oxygenation is invasive; it requires jugular

Hyperoxia Reversibly Alters Oxygen Consumption and Metabolism
Aim. Ventilation with pure oxygen (hyperoxic ventilation: HV) is thought to decrease whole body oxygen consumption (VO2). However, the validity and impact of this phenomenon remain ambiguous; until now, under hyperoxic conditions, VO2 has only been ...

ZnO and ZnO$_{1-x}$ based thin film memristors: The effects of oxygen deficiency and thickness in resistive switching behavior [PDF]
In this study, direct-current reactive sputtered ZnO and ZnO1-x based thin film (30 nm and 300 nm in thickness) memristor devices were produced and the effects of oxygen vacancies and thickness on the memristive characteristics were investigated. The oxygen deficiency of the ZnO1-x structure was confirmed by SIMS analyses.

Global well-posedness for a two-dimensional Keller-Segel-Euler system of consumption type [PDF]
We consider the Cauchy problem for the Keller-Segel system of consumption type coupled with the incompressible Euler equations in $\mathbb{R}^2$. This coupled system describes a biological phenomenon in which aerobic bacteria living in slightly viscous fluids (such as water) move towards a higher oxygen concentration to survive.

An interpretable machine learning approach for ferroalloys consumptions [PDF]
This paper is devoted to a practical method for ferroalloys consumption modeling and optimization. We consider the problem of selecting the optimal process control parameters based on the analysis of historical data from sensors. We developed approach, which predicts results of chemical reactions and give ferroalloys consumption recommendation.

Mathematical model for predicting oxygen concentration in tilapia fish farms
The main aim of this research is to develop a mathematical model to predict the dissolved oxygen in recirculating aquaculture system. The oxygen consumption of the model through the fish respiration and nitrification and the oxygen addition of the model ...

Experimental and theoretical study of metal combustion in oxygen flows [PDF]
The effects of oxygen flow speed and pressure on the iron and mild steel combustion are investigated experimentally and theoretically. The studied specimens are vertical cylindrical rods subjected to an axial oxygen flow and ignited at the upper end by laser irradiation.
