Time‐Dependent Oxidation and Scale Evolution of a Wrought Co/Ni‐Based Superalloy
This study shows how a new wrought Co/Ni‐based superalloy resists oxidation at 800 ∘$^\circ$C. The oxide scale changes from rough, fast‐growing spinel to a dense, protective chromia–alumina layer. Atom probe analysis reveals tiny refractory‐rich bubbles at the interface that mark the transition to long‐term, diffusion‐controlled protection ...

Enhanced Strength and Corrosion Resistance of Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn Alloy by Aging Treatment
This work systematically investigates the effect of aging treatment on mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of vacuum arc‐melted Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn alloy. Owing to the increased α″ martensite, strength and corrosion resistance were significantly enhanced by aging treatment.

Unraveling Alkali Ion Electron Donation for Enhancing Heterogeneous Catalytic Oxidation
Alkali ions, widely employed as promoters, play crucial roles in heterogeneous catalysis. However, their electron donation mechanism remains poorly understood because alkali ions do not have transferable electrons as metallic alkalis do.

Today, BaFBr crystals activated by europium ions are used as detectors that store absorbed energy in metastable centers. In these materials, the image created by X-ray irradiation remains stable in the dark for long periods at room temperature.

The High-Resolution Structures of the Neutral and the Low pH Crystals of Aminopeptidase from \u3cem\u3eAeromonas proteolytica\u3c/em\u3e [PDF]
The aminopeptidase from Aeromonas proteolytica (AAP) contains two zinc ions in the active site and catalyzes the degradation of peptides. Herein we report the crystal structures of AAP at 0.95-Å resolution at neutral pH and at 1.24-Å resolution at low pH.
