Sensing of Oxygen Partial Pressure in Air with ZnO Nanoparticles [PDF]
The demand for sensors in response to oxygen partial pressure in air is increasingly high in recent years and small-size sensors on a micrometer scale and even a nanometer scale are particularly desirable.

Oxygen Partial Pressure Is a Rate-Limiting Parameter for Cell Proliferation in 3D Spheroids Grown in Physioxic Culture Condition. [PDF]
The in situ oxygen partial pressure in normal and tumor tissues is in the range of a few percent. Therefore, when studying cell growth in 3D culture systems, it is essential to consider how the physiological oxygen concentration, rather than the one in ...

Development of a Patch-Type Flexible Oxygen Partial Pressure Sensor [PDF]
Oxygen concentration in living organisms is one of the important vital indicators in emergency care and bedside medical settings. However, the oximetry method has limitations: the measurement site is limited to the tissue containing blood and the ...

Effect of Sputtering Oxygen Partial Pressure on the Praseodymium-Doped InZnO Thin Film Transistor Using Microwave Photoconductivity Decay Method [PDF]
The praseodymium-doped indium-zinc-oxide (PrIZO) thin film transistor (TFT) shows broad application prospects in the new generation of display technologies due to its high performance and high stability. However, traditional device performance evaluation

Influence of oxygen partial pressure on the characteristics of human hepatocarcinoma cells. [PDF]
Most of the in vitro studies using liver cell lines have been performed under atmospheric oxygen partial pressure (21% O2). However, the oxygen concentrations in the liver and cancer cells are far from this value. In the present study, we have evaluated the influence of oxygen on 1) the tumor cell lines features (growth, steady-state ROS levels, GSH ...

Relating oxygen partial pressure, saturation and content: the haemoglobin-oxygen dissociation curve. [PDF]
Key PointsIn clinical practice, the level of arterial oxygenation can be measured either directly by blood gas sampling to measure partial pressure (PaO2) and percentage saturation (SaO2) or indirectly by pulse oximetry (SpO2).This review addresses the strengths and weaknesses of each of these tests and gives advice on their clinical use.The ...

Effect of Oxygen Partial Pressure on Oxidation of Iron at 573 K
The oxidation of iron was investigated by Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy at 573 K under the oxygen partial pressure from 10−1 to 105 Pa for 3~24 h. In the first stage of oxidation, thickness of the oxide film reached the maximum around 1 Pa. In the second stage the oxidation obeyed the parabolic rate law.

Oxygen: A Stimulus, Not “Only” a Drug
Depending on the oxygen partial pressure in a tissue, the therapeutic effect of oxygenation can vary from simple substance substitution up to hyperbaric oxygenation when breathing hyperbaric oxygen at 2.5–3.0 ATA. Surprisingly, new data showed that it is
