Magnetoelectrocatalysis of the Oxygen Reduction Reaction (ORR)

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2015
Fundamental kinetic studies of the catalytic effect of localized magnetic fields on the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) are conducted at platinum electrodes in the organic solvent acetonitrile with tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBABF4) electrolyte. Electrodes are modified with magnetic particles suspended in a Nafion film.

Effects of Chloride on the Oxygen Reduction Reaction

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2014
The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) represents perhaps the best studied redox process in electrocatalysis because of its key role in fuel cells1 and, more recently, metal-air batteries2. As is well known, the problems associated with improving the performance of low and intermediate temperature fuel cells are associated with the lack of suitable ...

Oxygen Reduction Reaction, Catalyst Development

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2019
The sluggish oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is the main bottleneck for development of highly efficient fuel cells. It has been a long-standing goal to develop and identify efficient and cost-effective electrocatalysts with high activity towards this reaction.
