ABSTRACT Purpose QQ, a recently proposed oxygen extraction fraction (OEF) mapping technique combining quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) and quantitative blood oxygen level‐dependent (qBOLD) (QSM + qBOLD = QQ), generates OEF maps noninvasively from a single routine MRI sequence, without requiring vascular challenges used in other OEF approaches.

Reaction of Oxyhemoglobin with Carbon Monoxide
The reaction of oxyhemoglobin and carbon monoxide was studied kinetically at pH 7.8 in a variety of suspending media. The dielectric constant of the suspending media, as well as the viscosity (and hence the Fick diffusion coefficients), was varied with the use of glycine, glycerol, and sucrose.

Abstract Purpose Little is known about the effects of retinal detachment on oxygen extraction from retinal vessels. The role of oxygen supply from the retinal vessels in a detached area has not previously been investigated in vivo in humans. Retinal oximetry is a non‐invasive measurement of retinal oxygen saturation.
