Oxytocin Modulates Nociception as an Agonist of Pain-Sensing TRPV1
Summary: Oxytocin is a hormone with various actions. Oxytocin-containing parvocellular neurons project to the brainstem and spinal cord. Oxytocin release from these neurons suppresses nociception of inflammatory pain, the molecular mechanism of which ...

A click‐mediated functionalization of a cyanine 5.5 bearing a terminal alkyne gave a rapid access to a library of ten new cyanine dyes and their corresponding dimers. A structure‐interaction relationship study led to the identification of an optimal dimer which was conjugated to the apelin‐17 ligand and enabled imaging of ApelinR under no‐wash ...

Epigenetic modification of the oxytocin receptor gene is associated with emotion processing in the infant brain [PDF]
The neural capacity to discriminate between emotions emerges early in development, though little is known about specific factors that contribute to variability in this vital skill during infancy.

2‐(Trifluoromethyl)‐1‐azabicyclo[1.1.0]butanes, available by diastereoselective cyclopropanation of 2‐(trifluoromethyl)‐2H‐azirines, can be successfully involved in strain‐release ring‐opening processes, as illustrated by their reaction with benzyl chloroformate, trifluoroacetic anhydride or palladium‐catalyzed hydrogenolysis.

Embodied Precision : Intranasal Oxytocin Modulates Multisensory Integration [PDF]
© 2018 Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Multisensory integration processes are fundamental to our sense of self as embodied beings. Bodily illusions, such as the rubber hand illusion (RHI) and the size-weight illusion (SWI), allow us to investigate ...

Highly water‐soluble Npy‐sulfenate functions as an efficient oxidizing agent for the formation of disulfide bonds in thiol‐containing peptides. The Npy‐sulfenate can be used to form a disulfide bond with a thiol‐containing peptide produced by thiol‐additive‐free NCL, thereby facilitating the one‐pot synthesis of adrenomedullin.

Oxytocin makes us trusting but not gullible [PDF]
Originally known for its role in childbirth and lactation, oxytocin (OT) has recently proved to play a key role in social behavior. Deprived of OT, humans are unable to recognize and to bond to their peers.
