Prevention of Renal Injury After Induction of Ozone Tolerance in Rats Submitted to Warm Ischaemia

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 1999
On the basis that ozone (O3) can upregulate cellular antioxidant enzymes, a morphological, biochemical and functional renal study was performed in rats undergoing a prolonged treatment with O3 before renal ischaemia.

Measurement report: Molecular characterization of organic aerosol in coastal environments using offline FIGAERO-I-CIMS [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
Organic aerosol (OA), as a key component of particulate matter, exerts significant impacts on public health and the environment. However, understanding of molecular characterization of OA under diverse environments remains limited.

Radiative forcing in the 21st century due to ozone changes in the troposphere and the lower stratosphere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Radiative forcing due to changes in ozone is expected for the 21st century. An assessment on changes in the tropospheric oxidative state through a model intercomparison ("OxComp'') was conducted for the IPCC Third Assessment Report (IPCC-TAR).

Three‐Dimensional Hierarchical Nanowire‐Networks with Deep‐Focus Tolerance and Adhesion Robustness for Harsh‐Environment SERS Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D nanowire‐network SERS substrate with robust adhesion is developed, featuring pronounced z‐direction optical activity, ultralow detection limit (1.5 × 10−13 M), and excellent signal uniformity (RSD < 10%). Enabled by enhanced light scattering, increased optical density of states, and structural reinforcement, the substrate demonstrates stable, high‐

Formation drivers and photochemical effects of ClNO2 in a coastal city of Southeast China [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
Nitryl chloride (ClNO2) is an important precursor of chlorine (Cl) radical, significantly affecting ozone (O3) formation and photochemical oxidation. However, the key drivers of ClNO2 production are not fully understood.

Evidence for a continuous decline in lower stratospheric ozone offsetting ozone layer recovery

open access: yes, 2018
. Ozone forms in the Earth's atmosphere from the photodissociation of molecular oxygen, primarily in the tropical stratosphere. It is then transported to the extratropics by the Brewer–Dobson circulation (BDC), forming a protective ozone layer around the

Uniform In‐Plane Growth of Large‐Area Ultrathin Zn2(benzimidazole)4 Membrane

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multicycle, ultradilute exposure strategy enables uniform in‐plane growth of ultrathin Zn2(benzimidazole)4 membranes on graphene, suppressing bulk nucleation and defects. The resulting centimeter‐scale films deliver high H2/CO2 separation performance, and are highly reproducible.
