Investigation of the Suitability of the ROTEM Assay to Measure Coagulation Potential in Blood From Patients on Concizumab Prophylaxis

open access: yesHaemophilia, Volume 32, Issue 2, Page 490-498, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM) aims to measure the coagulation potential in whole blood. Concizumab, an anti‐tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) antibody for prophylaxis in haemophilia, enhances tissue factor (TF)‐initiated coagulation by preventing inhibition of activated factor X (FXa), thus increasing thrombin ...

Terrestrial frogs in southern Andean ecosystems of Ecuador I: Two new species of Pristimantis (Anura: Craugastoridae) of the eastern versant

open access: yesACI Avances en Ciencias e Ingenierías, 2014
We describe two new species of Pristimantis from the cloud forest and paramo highlands protected by the Reserva Municipal Tinajillas-Gualaceño, province of Morona-Santiago, southeast versant of the Andes of Ecuador.

Justice‐centred climate change education and territory

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, Volume 52, Issue 1, Page 47-60, February 2026.
Abstract In a globalised world, education faces challenges that go far beyond professional training, where social responsibility and the inclusion of heterogeneous communities and territories in all levels of education have become a greater focus of the university and of scientific research, setting the stage for more inclusive public policies. Greater

Black hole solutions of gravity theories with nonminimal coupling between matter and curvature

open access: yes, 2014
We study black hole solutions in an extension of General Relativity (GR) with an explicit non-minimal coupling between matter and curvature. General black hole solutions satisfying the known energy conditions are derived including the ones with anti-de ...

Quantifying and Regionalizing Land Use Impacts on Catchment Response Times With High‐Frequency Observations

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Land use and land cover change (LUCC) can affect the hydrological response time of rivers. However, it is difficult to generate robust and quantitative evidence of this impact at the catchment scale. This lack of evidence also affects the development of rainfall‐runoff models to make ex‐ante predictions.

COVID‐19 and Farm Management in India: Evidence From the Rural–Urban Interface of Bangalore

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Economics, Volume 77, Issue 1, Page 74-93, February 2026.
ABSTRACT We examine farm management decisions of smallholder farmers during the first wave of COVID‐19 infections in India between June 2020 and March 2021. We use panel data from 256 farm households in the rural–urban interface of Bangalore from a pre‐COVID‐19 face‐to‐face survey and a phone survey at the end of the first COVID‐19 wave.

Reheating via a generalized non-minimal coupling of curvature to matter

open access: yes, 2011
In this work one shows that a generalized non-minimal coupling between geometry and matter is compatible with Starobinsky inflation and leads to a successful process of preheating, a reheating scenario based on the production of massive particles via ...

Escherichia Species Diversity Across Pristine and Impacted Catchments: Evidence for Avian Sources of Escherichia marmotae in Aotearoa/New Zealand

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
Escherichia spp. were obtained from pristine and impacted environments to define community structure and assess potential human health risks. E. coli was more prevalent from sites affected by livestock or human activities, whereas non‐E. coli Escherichia spp. were more prevalent in avian faeces and native forest with fewer faecal sources.
